Welcome to my quest for a healthier way of life.

Trying to juggle bringing up my wonderful children and a rewarding but stressful job, I gradually slipped into unhealthy habits almost without noticing. My blood pressure and weight went up whilst my work-life balance and exercise were non-existent.

About a year ago my blood pressure shot up dramatically. It gave me quite a fright so I started making small changes to my lifestyle to try to get it back to normal. I also set up  RIGHT FOR MY HEART to keep track of my progress and to sustain my motivation – but then I got cold feet! What if my best  intentions fizzled out again? What would I write about then?

I’m proud to say that I have persevered with those original healthy changes – they must count as habits by now!  I’ve started making more changes and am working at making them healthy habits too, so I thought it was time to brush off the blog.
